Career and Pathways

Making decisions about careers and future pathways can be a confusing and challenging time for young people. Delivering high quality career development programs for our students is an important priority at our College.

一本道无码 Carr College is inclusive of all pathway options both academic and/or applied learning. The Careers Hub is available to both students and their families.

The College Careers Hub is staffed with specialist Career Practitioners who provide programs for our students that will assist them to choose, plan and manage their career journey and pathways.

Our program involves one on one career counselling, a comprehensive careers education program at each year level that aligns with the Victorian Careers Curriculum Framework and a range of tools and information to assist students with their networking and research. These include an on-campus careers centre and our 一本道无码 Carr Careers website where students, parents and carers can access our message board聽and聽monthly newsletters, find up-to-date information on the VTAC process, university and TAFE courses, and search for information on different courses, jobs and careers.

In Year 10, each student undertakes Morrisby Career profiling and has one-on-one career counselling to work through their results and apply this learning to future possible career pathways and VCE subject selections. All Year 10s participate in a fortnightly embedded career education program titled My Career Pathway where they will explore their Morrisby profile and suggested careers, write resumes, hone interview skills by participating in a mock interview, engage with guest speakers and will attend the Victorian Careers Expo.  Students will also learn about current and emerging industries and the future of work.
